Job Description:

Cost Accountant Analyzes, tracks, and reports production expenses including raw materials, direct labor, and factory overhead to help the Plant control costs and improve profitability.
Responsible for the preparation of the Manufacturing Financial Report (Gross Profit Statement) for SBU reporting. Ensure that the cost item to use is the updated data from BOM of R&D and SAB of IE.

Prepare financial analysis for CapEx item to be purchased as a support for management approval. Conduct regular variance analysis comparing actual production costs to projected standards, investigating root causes for material waste, labor inefficiencies, or overhead gaps.

Oversee valuation and reconciliation of raw materials. Monitor cycle counts, lead physical inventory audits, and value Work-In-Progress (WIP) and finished goods. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconcile inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger, and generate gross margin reports. Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain teams to evaluate make-versus-buy decisions and support continuous cost-reduction initiatives.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus)
2 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a plant or manufacturing environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, etc.
Strong grasp of cost accounting principles (standard costing, activity-based costing) and compliance standards.
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex financial metrics to non-financial operations teams.
Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
Ability to analyze data, identify problems and develop appropriate and effective solutions.
Familiarity with Production processes and relevant software or systems Leadership.
